Day 2 Merry Christmas to Me!!

This just seems to be the best weekend for me :)  The first part of today's post is non-Stampin' Up! related but I have to share my great news.  It's been a long time in the coming and I have been a very patient person.  But I have finally gotten my wish.  We drove to Belgrade, MT yesterday and stopped at Yellowstone Harley Davidson and I came home with my new ride!

So now I can complete my Stampin' Up! convention statement.....I am....a Harley owner!  She has such a nice roar :)

Now onto stamping business, since that's the reason you're here.  Here's a little stampin trick for you ladies that prefer the clear mount stamps. When you get a new stamp set, punch out your stamp sets and then peel off the backing from the large piece that was holding the stamps.  Now place that large piece back in the case.

Peel the backing off the stamps, remove the vinyl cling mount and attach to the back of your stamp.  Now place those stamps back in the cutout area with the rubber facing up.  Your stamp won't slide around and you can view the images from the back of your case.

Another handy trick for getting your stamps to stick to your clear blocks....dab some 2 way glue to the vinyl part of your stamp.  Allow drying time.  The glue dries clear and gives you just a little extra adhesive to stick to your blocks.

For those you wanting to join Stampin' Up!, a special offer is going to come available August 1st so keep your eyes open for this cute incentive.  Any questions, drop me a line, karlita@tctwest.net  Have a great week!!

Merry Christmas to me!

Oh, I sure do love the UPS man!  Wasn't able to great him at the door today but he sure did bring me some wonderful boxes...

Yes, my pre-order arrived today!  16 new stamp sets, 3 Simply Scrappin' Kits, the new paper piercing packs, several new framelits that coordinate with the stamp sets....I could go on and on!  Who wants to come over and have some fun?  With all these goodies I couldn't decide what to play with first.  I have been admiring the new eleganat butterfly punch and the coordinating stamp set, Papillon Potpourri, so that's where I began. My Grandma's birthday is next week so it fit the occasion well.

Since convention, it was the first time I've gotten to play with the new In-colors and definately loving the new ink pads.  Such a nice bold, crisp image it creates.

CCMC210 and PPA139

Evening girls!  I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone so I came up with a card that covers two different creating challenges.  The Embellished Events stamp set is becoming a favorite of mine as you can use it for so many occasions.  However, I have so many new stamp sets to play with I've got to get busy creating so I may have a new favorite in the next couple weeks.  Plus I've got so much more on its way.  I placed a pre-order last night from the Holiday mini....let's just say I'm a really good customer :)  And I sure hope my husbands not around when the BOXES arrive.

Back to reality!!

I was off in stamping world for a wonderful four days at the Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City.  Every day was filled with informative classes, make and take sessions where we made beautiful projects, or Main stage demonstrations which followed by the ever exciting "Prize Patrol" (everyone's favorite event).  All the attendees were given different color coded wrist bands.  After every main stage demonstration there was a drawing where the recipients would receive free items that were used in the demo just seen.  It always generates tons of excitement, cheering, screaming, and dancing.

We started off convention with an Inking Everything team meeting followed by a group swap.  Of course there's the Becky version of our pillow gifts for coming to convention.

These cute little purses were filled with a paper bobbin that was attached to a new pair of paper snips.  So adorable!!

Below is our ever growing Inking Everything team coming from all areas of the country.

And here's our fearless leader, Becky Roberts, and my newest downline, Charlotte Hondl, and me too :)  Becky earned some top awards this year including earning the Grand Vacation to Fiji in 2013, Founders Circle, and the Achievers Bonus.  Of course there's extra "perks" for all these awards :)

We had our own mini awards ceremony at our team meeting.  This included crowning Lorri Heiling, Miss Fiji, as she earned her first Grand Vacation. Congratulations  Lorri, you deserve it!

Then I made it a point to find the sweet and talented Heather Summers of Stamp with Heather.  I have taken two of her online classes learning MDS (My Digital Studio) and just had to give her my sincere thank you!  She is so talented and successful as she raked in numerous awards this year including the Artisan Award for the second year in a row.

And next we have my dear roommate from last year, Connie Collins of Constantly Stamping and my teammate Ruthie Graen from Fayetteville, AR.

When I finally got back home today the kids couldn't wait to see what treasures I brought back for them.

Here the kids are sporting the newest SU! bags

Thanks for stopping by and browsing my little treasures from convention.  Next year is the 25th anniversary for Stampin' Up! so it's going to be a GRAND event.  Make plans to attend with me next year and absorb all the excitement.  And remember, Stampin' Up! has begun offering the new low price of $99 for joining as a demonstrator and you can create your own customizable kit.  If you're ready to join me in this excitement,  click here to be directed to my online Stampin' Up! website and sign up.  I'd love to have you join my Starlight Stampers team!

On Second Thought.....

I'm a woman and I have the right to change my mind, right?  I came across another sketch design and came up with this card for a convention team swap...totally different than the other convention possibility but this made me say "Wow!"  The colors just pop out at you and I now have a new favorite stamp to replace my similar one that retired :)  I love this color combo together and it's totally brighter than what I'm use to using.  So I now have all my pieces for 28 cards in all my different sized papers cut, embossed, punched, stamped and ready to assemble after work tomorrow.  Pray for a good day tomorrow!
