Thank you post-its

This little project was one of the final ones for the stamp club girls for the year.  We take a break over the summer and start back up again in September.  This is a real simple project to duplicate if you need to make multiples for teachers or whatever situation arises.  It includes another one of my favorite stamp sets that's retiring (insert sad face).  Inside holds a standard size of post-it notes that were attached with sticky strip and also holds a Stampin' Up! pen from convention last year :)  I loved these "in colors" and will be so sad to see them go.

Cardstock:  Pear Pizzazz, Whisper white, Blushing Bride, Nursery Nest DSP

Thank You!

Pocket silhouettes is another of my favorite stamp sets so I was completely bummed to find it on the Stampin' Up! retired stamp list.  (insert sad face....)  It's so versatile!  It could be used on a sympathy card, a thank you card, birthday card, or just a "because" card.  I came up with this thank you card for the club girls this month that accompanied their order.  I used this color combination since this color is also retiring and I have a lot to use up.  Seems I overestimated my need for packages of DSP this year.  Definately need to cut back with the new catalog!

Card stock:  Concord crush, very vanilla, First Edition Specialty DSP

Stamp Set:  Pocket Silhouettes and Curly Cute

Accessories:  Big Shot!, Labels collection framelits die, Dexxtured impressions designer frames, extra-large oval punch, dotted scallop ribbon border punch, concord crush 1/2" stitched-poly ribbon

Don't forget to check back tomorrow for the latest releases for MDS.  I can't wait to show you a project I've been working on.  But it's a gift so you'll have to wait until the recipient receives it.  I'm so proud of my first project...I hope you'll love it as much as I do!

Don't forget to check out the retired stamp list that will only last until May 31.  Make your shopping list and then head over to my Stampin' Up! website to do your shopping!

Easter Treats

Can you believe its April already?!  Where has the year gone?  And of course we've been having amazing spring weather and just because Easter is this weekend they're predicting a wonderful snow storm to come thru and wreak havoc on everyone's travel plans....including mine!  Today's post is one of the projects from Stamp Club this week.  It's a very simple project that can easily be duplicated on a larger scale for class treats.  This wonderful idea came from a very talented demonstrator, Michelle Last, from England.  Check her out here.  I have found some awesome blogs from some very talented British demonstrators!

Your paper is cut 3" x 8" and you score at 1", 4 1/2", 4 3/4", and 5".  The little chick is created with the bird builder punch.  Just take your punched bird and reinsert him thru the top of the punch and punch off the tail feathers so he looks more like a chick.  You do the same thing with the wing.  Using a sponge dauber brush the edges of the chick with more mustard.  Draw in his beak and eyes with an early espresso marker. Once you attach to the front, also draw in his legs with early espresso marker.

Cardstock:   Crumb cake, so saffron

Stamp set:  Delightful Dozen, Pocket Silhouettes

Accessories:  Eyelet border punch, Extra-large oval punch, Bird builder punch, 3/8" pink pirouette taffeta ribbon, 3" x 5" cellophane bags

Friend to Friend

When this specialty paper came out in the catalog this year I thought to myself "I'll never order that.  The only thing it'd work on would be for scrapbook pages in a heritage album."  Well.......I started seeing it in some other demonstrators designs and it started to grow on me.  And then before I knew it I came up with this simple card.

The sentiment can easily be changed for whatever occasion you need.  It's kind of hard to detect but I have rhinestones in the centers of the flowers on the lace ribbon border.

Cardstock:  basic black, very vanilla, and First Edition Specialty DSP

Stamp set:  Pocket sihouettes

Accesories:  Lace ribbon border punch, 1" square punch, postage stamp punch, word window punch, modern label punch, basic rhinestones, versamark, black embossing powder, embossing buddy, and a heat tool

Hope you enjoyed this evenings post.  If you're interested in joining our stamp club or want to sign up for one of my classes, drop me an e-mail karlita@tctwest.net  I look forward to hearing from you!
