Congratulations Grad!

I can't believe it is that time of the year where graduations and Mother's Day are upon us.  It feels like the school year just started and here we are a month away from summer.  It's kind of hard to say that considering it has barely even felt like spring very much....areas around us are still getting snow!

This card is one I CASE'D from the Stampin' Up! catalog but just changed up the colors.  The girls at stamp club enjoyed these colors much more.

Stamp set:  Blue Ribbon

Cardstock:  Crumb cake, Midnight Muse, Regals Color Collection DSP (Cherry Cobbler)

Accessories:  Tea Lace Paper Doilies, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 3/4" Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Big Shot!

If you'd like to be on my list for receiving an upcoming catalog in the next month or so please drop me an email at  I look forward to hearing from you!

Best Things in Life Aren't Things.....

Do you ever stop and think about that phrase?   What things in life have brought you true happiness?  As for me.....I know its not material things.  It's the sense of accomplishment after completing a difficult task, the feeling of unconditional love you receive from a young child or even a pet, the joy in a child's face....It really is all about the simple things in life.  When you die with the most toys that's not how you're going to be remembered.  You'll be remembered for the kind of person you are and what differences you have made in the world.  That's one reason I love my "job" as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I can teach people to find their inner creative soul and make things that bring joy to other peoples lives.

I particularly love the spring colors in this card and am looking forward to the flowers blooming and hearing the birds chirping in the morning.

Cardstock:  Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Vellum, Watercolor Wonder DSP

Simply Sketched

Water coloring is such a simple technique but gives an amazing first impression!  It's definitely something I need to do more often...but it was hard to find the right stamp set to be able to do it.  Not every stamp set lends itself to being water colored.   The girls at club were anxious to learn water coloring and loved this card.

And the unique fold on this card added to the "ooohhs and awwwes".

Using Smoky Slate for just the subtle shading below the flower added to the final touch to lift it off the paper.

Stamp set:  Simply Sketched

Cardstock:  Watercolor paper, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Old Olive

Accessories:  Decorative Dots embossing folder, Basic Pearls, Blender pen, Big Shot!

Hope you're enjoying my new posts since my absence.  If you're looking forward to some new things, leave me some love!  I enjoy hearing feedback from my audience!

Inking Everything Tag Swap

I have the luxury on being part of a wonderful team, Inking Everything.  They are quite a creative bunch of ladies that come from all corners of the country. It's rather unfortunate that we only get to see each other at convention time because time always flies when your day is full of so many fun activities!

We do get to enjoy each others creations on our own private Facebook page but also have wonderful swaps from time to time.  Our most recent swap was an over-the-top tag.  The photo below was my creation for our swap.  So many layers, and fussy cutting and fine little detail went into this creation.

Stamp set:  Happy Hour, Yippee-Skippee!

Cardstock:  Watercolor Wonder DSP, Gumball Green Core'dinations, Crushed Curry, Tangergine Tango, Smoky Slate, Island Indigo, Whisper White

Accessories:  Windows Frames Collection Framelits, Banners Framelits Dies, Bitty Banners Framelits, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Festive Paper Piercing Pack, Linen Thread, sanding block, Dazzling Diamonds, Rhinestones, 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon, Decorative Dots embossing folder, Big Shot!

Phewwwww!  That was a long list!! If you'd like to be part of our group and participate in fun swaps like this there's always more room for fun, creative people.  And if you join now, Stampin' Up! has given new consultants free registration for convention.....that's a $295 value!!  It is the TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!  Head over to my Stampin' Up! website to get more details.
