Thoughts & Prayers

I'm sure glad it's a start to a new week!  I've been working like crazy to get ready for my first craft show that was yesterday.  Now I've been left to catch up on the things that have been put to the side.

Tonight's post is one of the cards I created for the craft show.  Haven't made a sympathy card in a while so brought this set out of the closet to use.

Cardstock:  Sahara sand, Early Espresso, Very vanilla

Stamp set:  Thoughts & Prayers

Accessories:  Crumb Cake 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Basic pearls, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Big Shot!, Framed Tulips embossing folder

If you didn't catch me yesterday, I have three more shows coming up in October and November.  And the list may grow as I find out of more possibilities!

Saturday, October 20th, St Agnes in Red Lodge 9-3
Saturday, October 27th, St Patrick's in Billings 9-3
Saturday, November 3rd, St Bernard's in Billings Heights 9-3

I'm having a special on purchasing retired product.  When you purchase any of my retired product at regular price you can choose any equally priced product out of the catalog for FREE!  E-mail with any questions or you need to know what's available!  Have a great week!  Kari

You're Amazing!

I'm preparing for my first craft show this coming weekend.  Lots of little things to do and need more cards to make to fill up my rack that just came this week.  As things come together this week I'll show you my "mockup" that I have in my basement.  This is one of the cards that I created yesterday.  It's a partial CASE from Anne Hile.  I loved her design but changed up the colors to accommodate what I had.

Cardstock:  Whisper white, Pacific point, Sahara sand, Brights Collection DSP paper pack

Stamp set:  You're Amazing!

Accessories:  Square lattice embossing folder, Apothecary accents framelits, Big Shot!, Brights designer buttons, Island Indigo Bakers Twine, Essentials paper piercing pack, rhinestones

Have a great week and make time to stamp!

FM76 and Fab Friday 02

This scrapbook page was so much fun to do!  When I saw the sketch design from The Friday Mashup the first thing that came to mind was a sunburst.  And coincidentally it fit right in with the color challenge that Fab Friday had set up.  Plus another great thing is that I got to use some of the new downloads I've recently purchased....and Lord knows there's been a ton I've purchased!!  I love the instant gratification of having my downloads right away and not have to wait for Brown to deliver my goodies in a few days:)

Craft Fair season

With my first craft fair coming up in just two weeks I am getting busy making things to have for display and to sell. One of my favorite Stampin' Up! products is their fabric, even though I don't know how to sew.  There are so many ways to use it for projects that don't require sewing.  This project is one of my favorite!  I believe every woman needs a purse hangar.  There's nothing like going to a restaurant and having no place to put your purse.  You can't trust putting it on the back of your chair.  And God forbid you put it on the dirty floor!  Eeewwwwww!!!  It's just the right size to keep in your purse and not take up a lot of room.

The flowers were cut using the Fun Flowers Bigz die.   Just one of the many things that can be cut using the Big Shot!

My craft show schedule for now is as follows:  (until I add in more shows)

*  Saturday,  September 29th, The Crossings in Laurel  9-3pm
*  Saturday, October 20th, St Agnes in Red Lodge, 9-3pm
*  Saturday, October 27th,  St Patrick's church in Billings, 9-3pm
*  Saturday, November 3rd, St Bernard's church in Billings Heights, 9-3pm

I'd love for you to stop by and say "Hi!".  Hope you all have a great week!

Hybrid thanks

As you know I've been having tons of fun with MDS2!  So when I needed some much past due thank you's I relied on MDS.  Still just can't believe the versatility of this program and what can all be done....So for todays project I created four card fronts on an 8-1/2" x 11 page and sent them off to Office Max to be printed (don't have my awesome printer yet)  Once I picked them up I added some coordinating brads for embellisment and mounted with dimensionals on a card front.  Voila!!

If you think MDS2 is something you'd like to try, don't forget that Stampin' Up! has a free 30 day trial offer. Head over to my Stampin' Up! website to check out the details.   I can tell you from experience, that it's addicting!  I know that there are tons of people out there with loads of shoe boxes with pictures and memories just sitting there waiting for something to be done with them.  Or you have several memory sticks loaded with photos that nobody is looking at.  Now is the time to make them into memories that your family will cherish for generations.  Contact me so I can get you on the right road!

Holiday treats

The wonderful fall season is finally upon us here in Montana.  We woke up this morning to a crisp 33 degrees!  It felt splendiferous!  So with that fall season ever so near, that means that weekend craft shows will be showing up as well.  I will be having a busy season ahead of me as I have already signed up for four craft shows.  This will be my first time but they say once you're prepared for the first one the others are just a piece of cake.  So I've been thinking of things that will be fun to have at my booth and some cute gift ideas.  So that leads me to my first project today.

We have a simple gift box filled with three 3x3 cards, some embellished envelopes, and then three decorated candies.  Very simple to recreate and could easily be redone for a private party.

Cardstock:  Early espresso, Whisper white, Gumball green, Cherry cobbler, Soft suede, and Snow Festival DSP

Stamp Set:  More Merry Messages

Accessories:  Dotted scallop ribbon border, Decorative label punch, 1-3/4" scallop circle punch, 1" circle punch, 1-1/4" circle punch, basic rhinestones, Natural designer buttons, Cherry cobbler 1/2" seam binding ribbon, Cherry cobbler Baker's twine, linen thread, Holiday collection framelits, Bitty banner framelits

The holiday season is a great time for get togethers with friends so why not create some fun holiday projects.  I'd love to set up a time and coordinate a private party with you and some friends.  Drop me an email so we can discuss some times!  karlita@tctwest.net

  • I finally got my teacher/staff gifts finished the night before last and was able to deliver them to school yesterday.  How ironic that Stampin' Up! announced this offer. Luck was on my side yesterday:)

Seem to be having problems with blogger again as I can't upload any photos since last night......will try again later today so you can see what got delivered.   Appears that I need to create my posts in Chrome as Internet Explorer is giving me the problems....this technology stuff.....

Have a great remainder of the week!

All of my free time this week I have been glued to my computer working on MDS....by the time bedtime rolls around my mind is just fried!!  This year has been such a challenge learning all these computer things when it comes to having a blog.  Still a few things left I'm trying to figure out...applying watermark to my photos and making videos....baby steps, just remember baby steps....

I almost forgot!  Another one of those "computer" things I've done this week was create a business page on facebook.  So look me up on facebook and "like" me.

These little flags you see below were created for all the teachers and staff at my daughters school.  They are 3" wide by about 8" long and will be a candy bar wrapper.  It's going to take some assembly time this weekend as I have to make 80!!!  They didn't take long to make but had to wait as I sent them off to Office Max to be printed.

I'll post pictures in a few days when they're all completed.  Wish me luck!!  Hope everyone has a safe and uneventful holiday weekend!
